Ingredients

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 sheet frozen shortcrust pastry, thawed
1 cup pie apple (store bought or homemade)
1 cup vanilla custard
Caster sugar for dusting
Pie maker is used for this recipe

Method

Pre heat pie maker for 5 minutes. Combine apple and custard in a bowl. Using the cutter provided with Pie Maker machine, cut large discs of shortcrust pastry and place them in the pie maker.

Fill with apple mixture. Cut smaller discs of puff pastry and place them on top of mixture. Sprinkle with caster sugar and cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden.
