7g sachet dried yeast

1/2 tsp caster sugar

1 1/2 cups bread and pizza plain flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

5 tbsp salted butter, very soft

1/4 tsp salt

3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced

1 packed cup fresh parsley leaves, finely chopped


Preheat the oven to 200°C. Combine the yeast, sugar and 3/4 cup warm water in a small jug. Stand for 10 mins or until mixture is frothy.

Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture and oil. Mix until a dough comes together. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead, adding more flour if necessary, for 5-7 mins or until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a large, oiled bowl. Cover and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Meanwhile mix the garlic ingredients in a small bowl and put aside.

After the dough has doubled in size punch down dough. Knead for 20 seconds or until smooth. Place on floured surface and split the dough into 2.

Dust both dough pieces with flour and roll out to form desired shape.

Spoon the garlic butter onto the pizza breads and use the back of a spoon or a brush to smooth the butter all over – right up to the edges. Cook for 7-10 minutes or until golden.
